We are always asked if the village is good for those families with children. And the answer is YES!
There is young community present in Pinar de Campoverde, although they are not always seen as they are either at work or at school.
Although there is no school in Campoverde, there are four primary schools and two secondary schools in the main town of Pilar de la Horadada. There are three school buses that service the area: two of the primary schools and one of the secondary schools.
There are activities going in Campoverde throughout the year, increasing in number during the summer months. These include roller skating lessons, German lessons, flamenco, etc. And throughout the holiday season there are activities and camps taking place in Campoverde, run by both the CIJ (town hall youth centre), and the local church which runs a youth club.
And if that’s not enough, the main town of Pilar de la Horadada (to which Campoverde belongs) has a youth centre with a long list of activities for children of all ages to take part in: such as clubs like the Patrulla Verde (Green Patrol), activities such as paddle surf and CrossFit, and even camping and skiing trips. Pilar also hosts an array of events for children throughout the year such as story telling, halloween, three kings parade, fair grounds, etc…
There are both tennis and football courts in Pinar de Campoverde, along with an open-air swimming pool. In addition to this Pilar de la Horadada has a large sports centre with a large heated pool, rock climbing, football, tennis, badminton, martial arts, etc…
Pinar de Cmpoverde has a beautiful natural area known as the Rio Seco, with playground and picnic area included, and a beautiful dry river bed making it an ideal place for going on walks and discovering nature with your children. Your dogs will enjoy it too!
The town hall also run Hibernus Mare on the beach in Mil Palmeras. These are free activities held on beach, some of which are oriented at children.
In Pinar de Campoverde children can enjoy being a green environment, with the benefit of having the award winning blue flag beaches only a short drive away.
